1. General information
The aim of this course is for the student to acquire the necessary competence to communicate appropriately and precisely in oral, written and graphic form, adapting to the audience and the purpose of the discourse in different professional and academic contexts. Develop appropriate strategies and techniques of oral and written communication in English in order to prepare, process, interpret and present data. English is the lingua franca in professional and academic communication. Discursive competence in English is a fundamental part of professional competence. Students of English language should be able to use English to carry out various types of activities related to their discipline and future career.

4. Academic activities

5. Assessment system
Students must demonstrate that they have achieved the expected learning outcomes by means of the following assessment activities
CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT:

- Vocabulary activities and use of the foreign language or use of English.

It will be compulsory to take all parts of the evaluation. In order to pass the subject, it will be necessary to obtain 50% of the total.
In the second sitting the tests and percentages are the same as in the first sitting (global assessment), but the student will only have to take the test that he/she will only have to take the test not passed in the first call, keeping the grade obtained in the test passed.
