1. General information
The main objective of this subject is understand the most significant aspects of cardiovascular, endocrinological, and nutritional pathology, and to acquire and develop the clinical skills that will enable them to adequately focus medical attention on patients affected by these pathologies.
2. Learning results
1. To know the most characteristic and significant medical aspects of cardiovascular, endocrine and nutritional pathology
and the basic principles of cardiac, vascular and endocrinological surgery.
2. To apply and perfect the knowledge and skills previously acquired to be able to suspect and recognize the existence of
a cardiovascular and endocrinological process in a patient.
3. To know the name and fundamental applications of the most used and specific complementary tests for the diagnosis
of cardiovascular and endocrinology and nutrition diseases.
4. To formulate informed diagnoses of the most frequent cardiovascular, endocrinological and nutritional diseases based
on the integration of clinical and other data from complementary tests applicable in each case.
5. To propose the usual treatment measures for cardiovascular, endocrinological and nutritional diseases that are most
frequently seen at various stages of their evolution, in the primary care setting.
6. To identify the basic guidelines for the treatment of other cardiovascular, endocrinological and nutritional diseases that
are not very prevalent or that are preferably treated in specialized care settings among those included in the theoretical
program of this subject.

5. Assessment system
THEORY ASSESSMENT FOR EACH SUBJECT: 70% of the final grade.
• Format: 40 multiple-choice questions with five options per question, with only one correct answer. Incorrect answers and unanswered questions will not be penalized. • Passing grade: 70% correct answers.
ASSESSMENT OF SEMINARS/WORKSHOPS AND CLINICAL PRACTICES: 30% of the final grade.
• The final grade, ranging from 0 to 3 points, will be based on:
o Attendance at the scheduled practices and seminars/workshops: Mandatory
o Second part of the theoretical exam, in the same session and call: Resolve six clinical cases in multiple-choice format, with five possible answers, one correct, with no penalties, at 0.5 points for each correctly answered case.
FINAL GRADE FOR EACH SUBJECT
The final grade will be the result of adding the final grades obtained in the theory assessment and in the seminars/workshops and clinical cases.
FINAL GRADE OF THE SUBJECT
• It will be the weighted average (in relation to the credits of each part of the subject) of the final grades obtained in each of its subjects, once they have been passed separately.
