The student must demonstrate that they have achieved the expected learning outcomes through the following evaluation activities:
The evaluation of the student will be continuous with assessable activities during the teaching period and a written evaluation of the theoretical contents.
-
Assessable activities during the teaching period: Assignments linked to the practical classes and directed work. The tutored work will consist of different practices carried out in groups in the classroom on the topics covered in the areas of Sociology and Social Psychology. These practices will be presented before the global exam. For the evaluation of the practices, the application of the knowledge acquired by the students in the Digital Competence Course organized by the library in the Faculty of Education may be taken into account. In the work derived from the practices, a minimum of 5.0 must be obtained and the student must have attended at least 80% of the practical sessions for it to be averaged with the theoretical part. If the student does not pass this part or cannot attend the practical sessions normally, they must take the global exam (see corresponding section).
-
Written evaluation activities of theoretical contents: Written exam. Multiple-choice questions in which only one is valid. The evaluation of theoretical contents will consist of questions from the Sociology part and questions from the Social Psychology part distributed equally, and it will be necessary to pass each of the theoretical parts for it to be averaged with the practical part.
Grading criteria and requirements to pass the subject
Each of the evaluation activities will contribute to the final grade of the subject in the following proportion:
It is necessary for both parts to be passed in order to pass the subject. The passing of one of the parts is saved until the second call.
Global exam and second call
Students who have not completed the assessable activities carried out throughout the course and which have an important weight in the grade, or who wish to take a single test to pass the subject, will be graded, in accordance with the evaluation regulations established by the University of Zaragoza, in a single test (100% of final evaluation) to be held on the official dates established by the center. This single, written test will incorporate both theoretical elements (written exam under the same conditions as in the theoretical evaluation) and applied ones (for example, practical cases to be solved on the day of the exam), in such a way that as a whole they allow verifying the achievement of similar competencies to those of students who have followed the previous format.
The second call will have the format of the final global evaluation if both parts are failed. If the written test or the assessable activities are passed, their grade will be saved until the second call if the students do not wish to improve the final grade. If, with one part passed, they take the global exam to raise their grade, the better of the obtained grades will prevail in any case.
Fifth and sixth call
Students in the 5th and 6th call will be evaluated with the same evaluation system as the rest of the students. In any case, to develop the teaching of this subject and accredit the achievement of its competencies, the student may choose between either of the following two options:
-
Follow the teaching in the class group in which they are enrolled if they request it at the secretary’s office within the deadline.
-
Agree with the tribunal the type of evaluation to be carried out (global or assessable activities throughout the course and final test) and the specific development of each condition.
It must be taken into account that the Regulations on Rules of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will apply to irregularities committed in evaluation tests through academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations on Learning Evaluation Standards in relation to irregular practices other than academic fraud. Likewise, the use of artificial tools for text creation will be allowed as long as it is supervised and authorized by the teaching staff, to ensure academic integrity.
In the evaluation of the subject, appropriate use of language will be assessed, both written and oral (spelling correctness in the written text and careful oratory in the oral presentation, appropriateness in writing, clarity of exposition, lexical and terminological precision, appropriate use of punctuation, etc.) and that the presentation is appropriate for the university level in terms of clarity, cleanliness, organization, and legibility. The lack of rigor in these aspects may entail penalties in the grade, possibly even resulting in failing the subject.
