1. General information
The subject and its expected results respond to the following approaches and objectives: To know the basics of Adult Education. To analyse the Secondary Education curriculum for adults. To learn how to elaborate curricular materials for Secondary Education for adults.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030 (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), in such a way that the acquisition of the learning results of the subject provides training and competence to contribute to some extent to their achievement: Goal 3: Health and Wellness; Goal 4: Quality education; Goal 5: Gender equality; Goal 10: Reducing inequalities; Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong institutions
This is one of the specific contents for the exercise of the teaching activity in the specific area of adult education
Moreover, this training cannot remain on the margins of social reality, and in this context, educational institutions are catalysts that must foster a new generation of active citizens, professionals with a reflective capacity and a critical conscience that will lead them to develop actions that contribute to sustainable development, a fairer and more equitable future.
In this sense, the training provided in this subject aims to train future teachers committed, motivated and participants in achieving the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda. For this purpose, the development of knowledge, values, skills and attitudes that empower individuals as agents of change is promoted in students through an active methodology.

Introduction
Purpose of continuing education
Legislation: The Law of Continuing Education of Aragon.
The psychosociology of adulthood: the adult as a pedagogical subject
The history of adult education
The curriculum of Secondary Education for Adults, The organization of contents. Resources and materials for face-to-face and distance learning. Technologies. The organization of Adult Education Centres. The rural contexts in the Secondary Education for Adults.
Adult and senior education
Prison education
4. Academic activities
- Face-to-face activities
Knowledge construction sessions, facilitation of the learning process and competency development. practical activities carried out through active methodologies to enhance specific and transversal competencies. Accompaniment to working groups, presentations, debates and peer review.
- Non-attendance activity
Documentation, independent work, reading and elaboration of evaluable products
5. Assessment system
Continuous assessment
- Carrying out didactic planning of the adult education curriculum (group work) and oral presentation. (50 % of the grade)
- Essay on a subject of the subject (individual work) (50 % of the grade)
Global evaluation and second call:
Continuous and formative evaluation will be facilitated by the teaching staff. In the event that a student is unable to participate in this evaluation modality, has not passed it or would like to improve their grade, they may sit for a comprehensive test
that integrates the same criteria and demands:
- Carrying out didactic planning of the adult education curriculum (individual work) and oral presentation. (50 % of the grade)
- Essay on a subject of the subject (individual work) (50 % of the grade)
These papers will be presented on the day of the official call and the oral defence of the didactic planning will be performed at that moment.
The tests are independent, and the grades obtained in each of them within the same academic year will be saved.
Fifth and sixth call.
In the same terms as the global evaluation.
Finally, it must be taken into account that the Regulations of the Norms of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will be applicable to the irregularities committed in the evaluation tests by means of academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations of the Norms of Evaluation of Learning in relation to irregular practices other than academic fraud.
