1. General information
The subject aims to provide a description of the synchrony of the Aragonese language from both a theoretical and practical perspective.
The objectives are to provide students with sufficient theoretical knowledge and practical competence to understand oral and written messages in Aragonese, to produce oral and written productions with correctness and appropriateness to the communicative situation, to explain in a basic way the characteristics and grammatical system of the Aragonese language.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030 (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), so that the acquisition of the learning results of the subject will contribute, to some extent, to the achievement of the objectives: 4, 5, 8, 9 and 17.
2. Learning results
To pass the subject the student must demonstrate that:
- Is able to situate the Aragonese language with its differential facts in the group of Romance languages
- Knows the grammar of the Aragonese language and distinguishes and identifies in texts the graphic, phonetic, morphological, syntactic, phraseological and lexical characteristics of Aragonese.
- Knows and identifies the phonemes of the Aragonese language and their graphic representation, knows and knows how to use the procedures to apply the morphemes of gender and number; the inventory and correct use of determiners, quantifiers and pronouns; the verbal conjugation of both simple and compound verb tenses and of transitive, intransitive and pronominal verbs. Is able to use correctly the different forms of the conjugation; knows and uses correctly the pronominal-adverb complements, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions and interjections, knows how to use appreciative and derivative morphemes, recognizes and knows how to use compound and parasynthetic words, how to distinguish and analyse the different components of syntagms, both nominal and verbal, and sentences, both simple and complex and compound.
- Knows how to apply this knowledge in practice by means of coherent written and oral productions that sufficiently fulfil the functions of expressing and communicating, as well as the requirements of appropriateness, authenticity and correctness.
- Can explain, at a basic level, the grammar of the Aragonese language.
- Knows the relevant bibliography for the study of the grammar of the Aragonese language

1. Aragonese in the group of Romance languages. 2. Phonetics, phonology and graphemetics. 3. The gender morpheme. 4. The number morpheme. 5. Article. 6. Demonstratives. 7. Possessives. 8. The numerals. 9. The indefinite. 10. The graded quantification. 11. Personal pronouns. 12. Relatives and interrogatives. 13- Regular verbs. 14- The compound conjugation of transitive verbs. 15- Intransitive verbs of motion. 16. The composed conjunction of the verbs of motion, pronominal and verb “estar”. 17- Irregular verbs. 18- Pronominal-adverbial complements. 19.
Adverbs. 20- Prepositions. 21- Conjunctions. 22. Interjections and ideophonic elements. 23- Derivation and composition. 24- Periphrases, expressions and idioms.
4. Academic activities
Classroom activities (60 hours)
- Theoretical classes of exposition and explanation of the different units of the program: 17 h.
- Practical classes, which will consist of reading, analysis and commentary of texts for the classification of the different elements: 40 hours.
- Assessment tests: 3 hours.
Non-face-to-face activities (90 hours)
- Reading, analysis and commentary of texts: 60 hours.
- Individual study: 30 hours.
5. Assessment system
The subject will be assessed by the continuous assessment system by means of the following activities:
1. Practical exercises in class: 60 %.
Assessment criteria:
- Submission within the proposed deadlines.
- Communicative effectiveness.
- Application of the guidelines outlined in the subject.
- Linguistic richness.
- Linguistic correction
- Adequacy, coherence, cohesion and correctness in writing.
2. Final test: 40 %.
Written test in which the student must demonstrate a B2 level of knowledge of the Aragonese language.
Evaluation and grading criteria:
- Communicative effectiveness.
- Linguistic richness.
- Linguistic correction.
- Adequacy, coherence, cohesion and correctness in writing.
The students who cannot participate in the face-to-face activities will take a final test of similar characteristics to those indicated above and a work tutored by the teacher, whose evaluation criteria will be those indicated in the first evaluation activity.
In the 5th and 6th calls, the characteristics of the tests, the instruments and the evaluation criteria will be the same as in the rest of the calls and will be in accordance with what has been specified above.
In any case, as part of the evaluation, the teacher may request, at random, the oral defence of the test or assignment submitted in writing, for the verification of the grade.
Finally, it must be taken into account that the Regulations of the Norms of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will be applicable to the irregularities committed in the evaluation tests through academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations of the Norms of Evaluation of Learning in relation to the irregular practices other than academic fraud.
