1. General information
The subject provides students with training in the practical and efficient use of various computer tools , commonly used both during the development of their studies and during their working life. In addition, a basic knowledge of general computer concepts is offered.
The subject is intended for all types of students, without the need for advanced prior knowledge, but only requires knowledge of the basic use of a computer.
On the other hand, the approach of the subject and its objective are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030 (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/): Goal 3) Health and well-being; Goal 4) Quality education; and Goal 10) Reduction of inequalities.
2. Learning results
Once the subject is completed, the student will have advanced knowledge of computer terminology and advanced office tools, as well as the ability to use the Internet as a tool to disseminate knowledge.
3. Syllabus
The subject will provide general knowledge of the computer world. In addition, the following topics will be worked on in depth:
1. Word processing
2. Spreadsheets
3. Databases
4. Other IT tools
5. Websites
4. Academic activities
The program offered to the students to help them achieve the expected results includes the following activities :
- Master class. 15h
- Practical computer training: 45h
- Assessment tests. 5h
- Individual work: 85h
For each new topic or concept, the basic ideas that appear in it will be explained, and practical cases will be solved. Students will then have to solve the exercises on the subject.
5. Assessment system
1: Continuous evaluation, consisting of two tests (first call only):
--Individual objective test, where a series of exercises similar to those performed in class will be proposed. This test will be valued from 0 to 7 points.
--Evaluation of the work done during the term, consisting of carrying out the different exercises and questions that will be presented in class and through the Digital Ring (ADD). This test will be valued from 0 to 3 points.
The final grade will be the sum of both tests.
