1. General information
The subject is developed through the student's rotation through different health care centres. The established rotation periods range from 2 to 4 weeks. A cycle of rotations is established for each student to complete the subject.
The rotation by Specialties will be chosen by the student from among the possible ones with available faculty. This choice is made according to the student's academic record.
These approaches and goals are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030 in such a way that the acquisition of the learning results of the subject provides capacity and competence to contribute to some extent to their achievement. Goal 3: Health and Wellness. Goal 4: Quality Education.

The total involvement of the student is sought proactively in the respective rotation teams. All students who carry out activities in which personal data or patients' medical history is handled, are obliged to keep the confidentiality of the same. This internship subject is face-to-face, respecting the indications of the health and academic authorities.
4. Academic activities
It is the student's responsibility to satisfactorily complete the different documents of the Portfolio of each of the rotation modules, and its timely delivery to the respective Department. This portfolio will include the activities carried out in each rotation module, and must be supervised by the tutor responsible for the student before its delivery.
The models of the different portfolios can be downloaded from the web site of the Faculty of Medicine, from the link established in the 6th year.
5. Assessment system
The student must demonstrate achievement of the intended learning results through the following assessment activities:
- Evaluation reports from the respective tutors of each of the rotation modules, whose weighted average grade will account for 30% of the final grade, provided that each of the modules has been satisfactorily passed.
- Portfolios for each rotation module. Their weighted average grade will account for 30% of the final grade.
- OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation) End of Degree: The result will be PASS or FAIL. For students who have a “PASS” this will represent 40% of the final grade. Students who achieve a “FAIL” will have a second call with an adapted programming of the different stations that will be programmed by the Test Committee due to the complexity of its organization. In the case of not passing the ECOE in the second call, the student must re-enrol in this subject the following year.
