1. General information
The overall goal of this subject is to fully develop the student's competence in the basic disciplinary contents of the descriptive grammar of the Spanish language, in its morphological, syntactic and lexical levels, . expects students to acquire qualitative and descriptive information and training at these levels, and to be able to use, with precise and effective mastery, the various morphosyntactic constructions and the lexicon of the Spanish language.
In this subject , the student is expected to be integrated into the teaching profession, understanding its legal and institutional framework , its situation and challenges in today's society and the social, family and cultural contexts that surround and condition teaching performance. The student must understand the specific disciplinary contents of the subject for access to the teaching function.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda of United Nations (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), and specifically contribute to the achievement of Goal 4: Quality education.
2. Learning results
-Make a global evaluation of the contents and fundamental concepts of the Spanish language at its different levels: morphological, syntactic and lexical.
-Describe, analyze, select and prioritize such contents according to their formative and cultural value, taking into account the specific characteristics of the training cycle.
-Analyze, propose and solve morphosyntactic comments, lexical analysis, grammar problems and tests on idiomatic correctnessand incorrectness.
-Identify, select and integrate relevant scientific training from different sources in order to start linguistic research tasks from scientific guidelines.
-To know the functions and dimensions of language and to know how to use them in the educational environment.
3. Syllabus
1) Functions and dimensions of language.
2) Linguistic units with content: morpheme, word, syntagm, sentence, etc.
3) Grammatical categories: noun, adjective, pronoun, verb, etc.
4) The simple sentence and its classes. The primary functions: subject, direct complement, attribute..
5) Compound sentences: coordination and subordination, their types.
4. Academic activities
Theory (3 ECTS):
-Master classes.
-Discussion and critique of bibliographic sources.
Practical. (3 ECTS):
-Individual work: information search, bibliography, readings, reflection and resolution of grammatical problems.
-Acquisition of problem-solving techniques and practical activities.
-Group work: use ICT to prepare the work, to search for information and for the presentation in class.
5. Assessment system
Continuous assessment by means of the following instruments:
A) Individual test or tests throughout the term in which it will try to check the theoretical and practical mastery that the student has achieved. The grade for this section will account for 70% of the final grade.
B) Practical activities or assignments where the student will carry out morphosyntactic comments, lexical analysis, grammar problems, tests on idiomatic correctness and incorrectness, etc. The grade for this section will account for 30% of the final grade.
The continuous evaluation option requires the qualification of both sections to pass the course.
Global test. Students who have not completed or passed the evaluable activities A and B mentioned above may take a single final evaluation test, which will be held on the dates established by the University for the official calls.
The criteria and levels of demand used for the qualification of the activities and evaluation tests will be the following:
-That the student has a theoretical and practical mastery of the contents that make up the field of study of descriptive grammar of the Spanish language, in its different levels: morphosyntactic and lexical.
-The student demonstrates the ability to analyze and solve morphosyntactic comments, lexical analysis and grammar problems lexical analysis and grammar problems.
Fifth and sixth calls
The asssessment system for students in the 5th and 6th calls will be the same as that for the rest of the students.
Finally, it must be taken into account that the Regulations of the Norms of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will be applicable to the irregularities committed in the evaluation tests by means of academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations of the Norms of Evaluation of Learning in relation to irregular practices other than academic fraud.
