1. General information
The main goal of the subject is to provide students with the basic skills, abilities, attitudes and competences to discriminate different types of information sources and resources in Humanities and Social Sciences, and to locate and retrieve the most appropriate information to solve information needs in these areas of knowledge. These approaches and goals are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN Agenda 2030 (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/): Goal 4: Quality education; Goals 5: Gender equality; Goals 10: Reduction of Inequalities

- Theoretical classes. Through which the professor will expose and develop the basic theoretical contents and will submit them to discussion with the students, using complementary materials.
- Classroom practices: Development of practical training activities with tools, sources and resources of information, in Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Development of projects and case studies: supervised by the teacher.

5. Assessment system
FIRST CALL
Continuous assessment system
- Completion of 4 theoretical-practical cases related to the content of the course. The value of this part is 60% of the total rating.
- Completion of an individual bibliographic compilation project on a specific topic related to the areas of HCCSS.
The value of this part is 40% of the total grade.
General assessment criteria: Accuracy and rigor in the use of theoretical concepts; quality and relevance of the answers; capacity of analysis, expository clarity and written expression; clarity and precision of the goals; correct selection of tools and bibliographic resources; adequate presentation.
Global assessment test
- Performance of a theoretical-practical test. It will consist of a questionnaire on the theoretical and practical contents of the subject . The value of this part is 60% of the total grade.
- Development and execution of one or more exercises related to Information Sources and Resources in HCCSS. The value of this part is 40% of the total grade.
The same evaluation criteria will be followed as for the continuous evaluation.
SECOND CALL
Global assessment test: identical to that of the first call.
