1. General information
The subject of Law applied to information and documentation, of 6 ECTS credits and of basic training, is compulsory and is taken in the second year of the degree.
The main goal of this subejct is to enable the student to master the legislative framework and ethics
in which he will move in the exercise of his profession, in order to combine the value of the right to information with its legal limits.
These approaches and goals are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of
the United Nations Agenda 2030 (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), the acquisition of the learning results of the subject provides training and competence to contribute to some extent to their achievement."

2. Learning results
- Explain and differentiate basic legal concepts and terminology.
- Select and apply the legislation related to the field of Information and Documentation to solve situations created by the access and use of them.
- Manage the different sources of information specialized in legal topics to meet the information demands of users.
- Critical reasoning in the analysis and evaluation of alternatives, with a legal and ethical basis.
- Interpret and apply professional deontology and ethics in their relations with users, with other professionals and in their own information management.

4. Academic activities
- Theoretical classes: Each of the contents related to the program of the subjectwill be explained in a general way
- Practical classes: In them, different aspects of the program will be studied in depth through the analysis and resolution of practical cases, text commentaries, etc. in order to work in situations similar to those that occur during the practiceof the profession.
Case studies will be carried out in parallel to the theoretical lessons. The last sessions will be reserved for the exposition and defense of the work done in teams, previously reviewed by the teacher.
5. Assessment system
FIRST CALL
Continuous assessment system:
Exhibit 1: Individual written theory and practice. Scored from 0 to 10 and will represent 50% of the final grade of the subject.
Minimum passing score of 2.5 points.
Test 2. Delivery of a portfolio. Criteria: organization, structure and systematization of contents, formal aspects, clarity and content. Scored from 0 to 10 and will represent 30% of the final grade of the subject.
Exhibit 3: Group project, presentation and defense of a paper in class, on a topic selected from a list of laws proposed. Grading from 0 to 10 and will represent 20% of the final grade.
Global assessment test: (fixed academic calendar)
Theoretical part : Program contents. Score from 0 to 5 (50% of the final grade). A minimum score of 2.5 pointsis required.
Practical part: Assumptions related to professional legislation. Scoring 0 to 5 (It represents 50% of the final grade).
Minimum required score of 2.5 points.
SECOND CALL
Global assessment test: identical to that of the first call.
In all tests, knowledge, terminology, development, reasoning and clarity are assessed.
