5.1. Methodological overview
The learning and teaching methodology developed in the course is aimed to promote the attainment of its objectives. A wide range of teaching and learning activities is implemented, such as theoretical lessons, practical exercises, individual or group activities, field work and private study.
All these activities are consistently organized with the structure of environmental impact studies. This sequential scheme leads to better learning outcomes and allow the students to develop gradually their personal and teamwork activities, thus achieving a continuous training.
Extensive material will be available via the Moodle site of the course. This offers a variety of resources including a repository of the lecture notes used in class as well as other forms of course-specific materials.
5.2. Learning tasks
Lecture sessions: 18,75 hours
Practical activities: interactive, individual or group activities: 33,25 hours
Field work: 8 hours
Directed activities: 12.5 hours
Private study: 75 hours
Assessment: 2,5 hours
5.3. Syllabus
The lecture course will address the following main issues:
- Introduction to the general concepts about environmental impact.
- Legal contextof the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure.
- The Environmental Impact Study (EIS).
5.4. Course planning and calendar
The course is divided into two thematic blocks. The first block includes the topics 1 and 2 of the program and the second thematic block includes the topic number 3.

Directed activities will be developed individually or in group in the time and space established by the professor of the course. The professor will also determine the delivery deadlines of the different activities.
