1. On the nature of language change. External factors and internal factors of language change.
2. On phonetic change and phonological change. Typology of phonic changes. Consequences of phonetic changes on the Spanish phonological system.

3. Phonetic laws. On the concept of etymology. The formulation of phonetic laws from the conception of neogrammar to the present day. Exceptions to phonetics laws in the Spanish language. Learned and semi-learned language.

4. From the Latin vowel system to the Spanish vowel system. General aspects.

5. Specific aspects in the evolution of the Latin vowel system into the Spanish vowel system. Vowel inflections.

6. Specific aspects in the evolution of the Latin vowel system into the Spanish vowel system. Romance diphthongation.

7. Specific aspects in the evolution of the Latin vowel system into the Spanish vowel system. Apocope.

8. From the classic Latin consonant system to the Spanish consonant system. General aspects.
