1. Introduction: from “post-modernism” to “post-modernity” in Spanish American literature.
2. Avant-garde poetry in Spanish America: Vicente Huidobro, César Vallejo, Pablo Neruda.
3. Between regionalism and the fantastic in Spanish American narrative until 1960: Jorge Luis Borges, Alejo Carpentier, Juan Rulfo.
4. The boom of the Spanish American narrative and the “new novel”: Julio Cortázar, Gabriel García Márquez, Mario Vargas Llosa.
5. Postboom and reinvention of the narrative canon: Alfredo Bryce Echenique, Ricardo Piglia, Roberto Bolaño.
6. The post-avant-garde and neo-avant-garde in poetry: Octavio Paz, Nicanor Parra and Alejandra Pizarnik.
