•2. Poetic trends in the 16th century. Petrarchism and Horatianism. Garcilaso de la Vega. Fray Luis de León. San Juan de la Cruz. Other poets.


•3. Narrative and didactic prose. Forms of the novel. Lazarillo de Tormes. Renaissance dialogue. Other narrative types.

 

•4. Renaissance theatre. From Juan del Encina to the playwrights before Lope de Vega.
