5.1. Methodological overview
The learning process designed for this subject is based on the following:
The learning process designed for this subject is based on the teacher presenting and explaining in class the most relevant aspects that sustain children’s literary education, and the analysis of the body of children’s literature from the diachronic and synchronic perspective in the interests of training literary readers. Throughout the course, students perform individual and group tasks to analyse, reflect on and apply contents. Activities imply applying the contents and the acquired tools from a theoretical viewpoint, and reflecting on them.
5.2. Learning tasks
The programme for students is to help them obtain the expected results and includes the following activities:
Face-to-face activities (60 hours for students):
1. The teacher presents its contents.
2. Final evaluation test.
3. Practical classes of the subject matter:
a) Participation in presentation classes and debates in large groups.
b) Academic activities organised by and with the teacher, done in small groups.
c) Individual class activities that involve critical reflection, mastering the literary discourse for children, and contributions from bibliographic and scientific research searches.
Virtual activities (90 hours):
a) Individual autonomous work. Reading and personally studying scientific texts and creative work.
b) Group work on guided academic activities.
